When Tami and Moore Tappan, III decided to marry in the US Virgin Islands, they wanted to include their whole family by taking a wedding cruise. They decided to alleviate planning stress , and after hiring wedding planners Perfect Weddings of St. Thomas to handle the details, all the couple had left to do was say “I Do” along the beautiful coastline.
The ceremony took place in front of the Sapphire Beach Resort, with the island of St. John just across the water. When the couple and their 12 guests disembarked the ship in St. Thomas, the ominous weather was gray and overcast. But as the ceremony began, the clouds parted to let the sun shine — they believe this was because the groom’s father, who had recently passed away, needed a clear view of the ceremony. Another sign that dad was present — the white heron that perched itself upon the rocks behind the couple throughout the ceremony.
